Your grade is based on the points you have earned out of the total possible points. Test and projects have a point value of 50 points. Class work and homework are worth 10 – 25 points. Bell work and quizzes are worth 5 points each.
AGENDAS
You are required to fill out your agenda for the entire week on Monday from the back board.
OBJECTIVES
Content/lesson and language objectives are written on the front board daily.
BELL WORK
Every day when you enter the room, there will be a short assignment on the board. It will be completed on the same sheet of paper all week and turned in on Fridays.
STATE STANDARDS
These will be posted on the chalkboard weekly. They are also on the district website. Packets are available to parents by request.
ABSENCES/LATE WORK
If you are absent and it is excused, you have one week to make up your work.
Assignments not turned in on due date will be severely penalized in point value.
STUDENT MANAGERS
Each month two students per class may serve as managers. These students are in charge of various jobs in the room and running errands.
PROJECTS
Every term you will be assigned a project. A project is worth as much as a test and you will be given plenty of time to complete it. There will be some class time to start on projects but work will need to be done outside of class.
PAPERS
Make sure all papers have your first and last name, period, and date in the top right hand corner. As papers are returned to you, HOLD all graded papers until progress/report card time in your class folder.
