Dear Imes Families,
As I reflect back on the last four months, I want to thank the staff, students, and community for their heartwarming support. Every day is an enjoyable experience as I interact with your children and watch them flourish under the instruction of our very dedicated staff. I encourage you to continue to be involved in your child’s education and work in partnership with us to provide them the best educational experience of their young lives.
I look forward to continuing the journey with you to ensure your child’s academic success. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance.

Estimadas Familias de la Escuela Imes:
Al hacer una reflexión sobre los últimos cuatro meses, quiero expresar mi agradecimiento al personal, estudiantes y miembros de la comunidad por su apoyo tan alentador. Cada día es una experiencia sumamente agradable el relacionarme con sus hijos y verles florecer bajo la enseñanza de nuestro muy dedicado personal. Les exhorto a continuar participando en la educación de su hijo(a) y a trabajar en sociedad con nosotros a fin de proveerles la mejor experiencia educacional posible en la vida de su hijo(a).

About Principal Diaz
We are delighted to welcome our new principal, Melinda Diaz, who joined Imes in 2010. Diaz comes to GESD from the Dysart Unified School District where she served as an assistant principal beginning in 2005. She also has 14 years of classroom teaching experience. Diaz holds a Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting from ASU. She also holds a post graduate elementary/secondary teaching degree and a Master’s of administration in curriculum and instruction, both from Chapman University.
