OUR PURPOSE
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has been established to promote the welfare of Harold W. Smith Elementary School and the students therein, to bring into closer relation the parents and the school and to support the activities and programs of the school through financial and/or voluntary support.
HOW TO JOIN
To raise the initial fund for the 2010-2011 academic year, the official PTO membership drive will be at the Science Fair to be held on May 13, but you can join at any time. Annual family membership is only $5.00 and individual membership is $2.00. All parents are strongly encouraged to join and participate in any way that you are able. Please encourage family (grandparents!) and friends to join, too!! Although we love volunteers, you do not have to be a volunteer or attend monthly meetings to join!

PTO Funds: Where Does the Money Go?
Through membership and fundraising events, such as social activities, game nights, etc., the PTO facilitates the ability to provide our children with the best possible educational experiences.
In addition to the countless hours contributed by PTO volunteers, the PTO provides funds for a range of programs, services and needs of Harold W. Smith’s students, faculty and staff.

NUESTRO PROPOSITO
La Organización de Padres y Maestros (PTO) fue establecida para promover el bienestar de la Escuela Primaria de Harold W. Smith y los estudiantes en el mismo, estrechar la relación entre los padres y la escuela y apoyar las actividades y programas de la escuela a tráves de apoyo financiero y/o voluntario.
COMO PUEDES UNIRTE
Para recaudar el fondo inicial del año academico 2010-2011, la campaña oficial de membresía del PTO se llevará a cabo en la Feria de Ciencia el 13 de Mayo, pero puedes unirte en cualquier momento. Membresía anual por familia es solamente $5.00 y membresía individual es $2.00. A todos los padres se les exhorta a unirse y participar en cualquier forma que le sea posible. Por favor invita a familia (abuelos!) y amigos a unirse también!! A pesar que nos encantaria contar con innumerables voluntarios, no tienes que ser voluntario permanente o asistir a reuniones mensuales para unirte! Fondos del PTO: ¿A Dónde Se Va el Dinero?
A través de membresías y eventos para recaudar fondos, como actividades sociales, noches de juego, etc., el PTO facilita la abilidad de proporcionar a nuestros hijos con las mejores posibles experiencias educacionales.
Ademas de las incontables horas aportadas por voluntarios, el PTO provee fondos para una serie de programas, servicios y necesidades de estudiates, profesores y personal de la escuela.
