There are several afterschool programs we provide for our students and community at Desert Garden School. They are listed below. Please feel free to call the school office at 623 237-4014 if you have any questions about enrollment or participation in these programs.
The G.E.O. Program : (Glendale Educational Opportunities)
Cooperation and planning between the City of Glendale Parks and Recreation Department, and G.E.S.D. provide students at Desert Garden School (and other schools in the district) an excellent academic enrichment program before school and after school. Funding for the teachers and G.E.O. Staff comes from the 21st Century Community Learning Program. This is a Federal Grant targeting literacy and educational services to children and families.
Rosetta Stone
This is a program for 2nd Language Learners (students at Desert Garden School) to help them maintain and increase English Proficiency. The classes are after school at varied times.
