Sunset Vista is in the process of applying for the 21st Century Grant.
The 21st Century Grant is a grant that enables schools to stay open longer, providing a safe place for homework centers, intensive mentoring in basic skills, counseling, helping middle school students to prepare to take college prep courses in high school, enrichment in the core academic subjects as well as opportunities to participate in recreational activities, chorus, band, fine arts, technology education programs, and services.
Sunset Vista will receive notice of the application outcome in October of 2012.
