Office of the Superintendent Banner
  • Dear GESD Community,

I am honored and humbled to serve my fifth year as the Glendale Elementary School District Superintendent. We pride ourselves on providing innovative learning opportunities for our students. The District’s signature programs, including Early-Childhood Education, Dual Language Immersion, Verizon Innovative Learning, and our Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) Academies, are premier options for our students and make GESD the best choice for our families.

We are extremely proud of our GESD community and the family partnerships that contribute to making our school system one of the best in Arizona. Working together, we continue to empower our students to achieve success in all that they strive for as learners. Our students have an enthusiasm for learning, which is evident as you walk through our schools and see the work of our dedicated school staff. GESD is truly a mosaic of minds that produces academic excellence and strong community leaders. This speaks to the uniqueness of GESD, where we exemplify a diverse foundation for vibrant futures.

The continued building of our partnerships with our District’s families and our community stakeholders is vital to a successful school setting. This year, we will open our System of Care Center (SoCC), a spectrum of community-based services and support for children and young people with or at risk for mental health or other challenges and their families. Organized into a coordinated network, the system of care builds meaningful partnerships with families and youth, and addresses their cultural and linguistic needs, in order to help them to function better at home, in school, in the community, and throughout life.

GESD is committed to meeting not only the educational needs of our students but also their social and emotional needs in a safe school environment. Our motto is ‘’All In for All Kids” and our greatest goal will be to always do our best to meet the diverse needs of each and every student. We view ourselves as a community of learners joining together to do meaningful work for all students.

In closing, please let me reaffirm that I truly believe that each of us wants our students to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. With extraordinary enthusiasm and excitement, I look forward to working with the GESD community.
