Glendale Elementary School District voters approved both the District’s request to renew its override and $35 million bond. Maricopa County has certified the results of the Nov. 6 election.
The override met the approval of 57 percent of voters. The override which funds such things as teacher salaries and benefits, full-day kindergarten, art, music and physical education, and classroom supplies. The bond won the approval of 52 percent of voters. Bond dollars will be used to correct structural deficiencies, make repairs, new construction, and safety and security improvement.
In addition to the two financial questions, voters re-elected Brenda Bartels and Sara Smith to four-year terms on the Governing Board.
