COBRA Coverage

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time under certain circumstances such as voluntary or involuntary job loss, reduction in the hours worked, transition between jobs, death, divorce, and other life events. 

The medical, dental, and vision insurance will remain active through the last day of the month the employee's employment ends*. All other insurance benefits will end on the employee's last day of work*. When coverage ends, a COBRA notice will be mailed within 30 days.  

*There may be other special circumstances when coverage ends based on another date. Please refer to the Summary Plan Documents for each insurance plan for additional information.
