• Application Process (Non-Substitute Employees)

    Thank you for your interest in employment with Glendale Elementary School District! Applications are kept active for one (1) year from the date of submission. If updates are made to an existing application, the application must be resubmitted if ninety (90) days have passed. All resubmitted applications will remain active for one (1) year from the date of the new submission. 

    To be considered for a position, you must submit your online application and select the job posting number associated with the opening. In addition to an active application, you may also upload the following supporting documentation to complete your profile:

    • Resume
    • Letters of Recommendation
    • Transcripts (if applicable)
    • Certificates / Credentials (if applicable)
    • Fingerprint Clearance Card

    TESTING will be required for the following positions in order to complete the application process:

    • Paraprofessional - If you do not have a two (2) or four (4) year degree or sixty (60) college credit hours, you will be required to pass a state approved test. Contact the District receptionist at 623.237.7100 to schedule an appointment. Testing fees apply and are non-refundable.
    • Clerical - Applicants will be tested to assess their knowledge and skill level. Testing may include but are not limited to, written exercises, creating and formatting documents, word processing, manipulating data and/or creating visual aids.


    Offers of Employment

    Offers of employment are not finalized until the selected candidate is contacted by the Human Resources department and the hiring is approved by the Glendale Elementary School District Governing Board.

    If you are recommended for a position, you must be able to provide the following documentation during your scheduled employment check-in or orientation: 

    1. Credentials: Proof of High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent, College Transcripts, Certificate(s) as required/requested by Human Resources
    2. Proof of Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR) Immunization/Immunity
    3. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States 
    4. Fingerprint Clearance Card 
    5. Other documents, e.g. TB test, etc. as required by the position and requested by Human Resources

    Unfurnished documentation can result in delaying your start date or rescinding an employment offer.

    IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

    The Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) require members of many professions to have an active IVP fingerprint clearance card prior to or as a condition of licensure, certification, or employment. Please see link below for any questions regarding the Fingerprint Clearance Card.

    GESD’s Human Resource Office is able to take your fingerprints once you have applied on our website for employment. The cost of the Fingerprint Clearance Card is $67.00 and must be a money order or cashier’s check payable to the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
